Excellent quality razor sharp nice heavy handles quality steel very pleased will buy more in the future but again you need to change your wood magnet holder I got one that was defective and didn't have a place to screw it into is just a drilled hole poorly and then the second one I put the knives on it and they literally just slide down and scratch the wood they're very poor quality please go with the one that I'm trying to tell you to buy which I purchased before in Texas they're only $32 there twice as big and much better quality and the magnet is extremely strong on both sides

I love the weight of the handle it's extremely comfortable and definitely nice good heavy weight and razor sharp blades I have bought many of these from Amazon and they're all garbage if you can imagine a tube of ground round hamburger and none of these knives wood cut through it yours or razor sharp I could literally cut paper and that's a true sharp knife all the knives I bought from you is are amazing and I will buy others I ordered another set from this other company and they are terrible they won't even cut my skin it's pathetic your product is amazing but again I've sent you pictures of the ones you should be selling that are top quality they retail on Amazon for only $32 there twice the size so they set a whole set of knives on either side and the magnet is actually strong unlike the one you're selling I would stop selling that that is a very poor quality product and it doesn't make you look good when you sell such excellent knive and such a poor magnet board I would definitely dump that company and go with the one of the pictures that I sent you it's top quality and literally you have to grab them to pull them off yours literally you put the knife on and it falls off and scratches the wood so anyways thank you so much I'm extremely pleased and I plan on buying more knives from you in the future a whole set and I wish you would sell the magnetic board that I sent you thank you I couldn't be happier with your product

Do I really need a dedicated steak knife set if I already own good kitchen knives?

Probably, yeah. Big chef knives are built for prep, not table use — they're awkward across a plate, they look ridiculous next to a piece of pie, and you wouldn't actually want them in front of guests. Steak knives are the table versions of the same idea: small, sharp, balanced for the way you cut sitting down. This set is four of them. Enough for a family of four, two couples at dinner, or you and your partner with enough left over for the in-laws when they visit. Once you've eaten a ribeye with the right knife, the wrong one feels obvious.

Why straight edge instead of serrated?

Serrations are designed to grip — they work great for bread, where you need teeth to bite into a crust. On a steak, those same teeth saw at the meat fibers, shred the texture, and pull juice out of the cut. A straight edge cuts clean in one stroke, the way a sharp chef knife does. The trade-off is sharpening. A serrated blade hides dullness because the teeth keep biting; a straight edge needs honing every few months or it stops cutting cleanly. If you're willing to take three minutes a month on a honing rod, the straight edge wins.

How does this compare to the serrated version of the set?

Different tools for different priorities. The serrated set never needs sharpening, cuts through dishwasher-cracked steak with no problem, and is technically dishwasher-safe (though hand-washing makes anything last longer). The straight edge cuts cleaner, looks better on the table, and demands honing every now and then. If you cook your steak right and want to eat it right, go straight edge. How do I keep these sharp? ---

Hand-wash, towel-dry, store somewhere they're not banging against each other — a magnetic strip works, a wooden block works, a knife roll works. Avoid the dishwasher even if a label says you can. The heat and detergent kill the edge faster than anything else. A 10″ Honing Rod a couple times a month keeps the edge slicing for years. A full sharpening (whetstone or rolling kit) is a once-a-year job at most for table knives. That's it — three minutes a month and they outlast everything else in the drawer.
